Hi guys,

At DragonCon I was informed of an important rules change that took place at GenCon this year.

In tournament matches, when time is called, players get three turns just as before to finish the game - with the active player being turn 0. However, if at the end of the third turn neither player has been eliminated, the game is a draw. Players no loner win the game by having the most influence remaining after the turns are over.

Also, in matches in the top 8 (or however large your play-off) if time runs out and no one is eliminated the faction that has had the most damage inflicted TO them is the loser, it matters not what your current influence total is. So, for finals, I (or whomever the judge is at the time) will have to record both current totals and a running total of Influence lost.

I'm not going to enforce this rule at our tournament on 9/9...but I will start the week after, on 9/16. So, build your decks accordingly and plan ahead, please. I think in the long run this will make for quicker and more interesting games, but it may require a little bit of an adjustment period. As such, I'm starting it NEXT week.

Play ON!

So, I just don't take any damage at all yet still gain obscene influence.  Check.  Smiley

The "draw" thing works for me, I reckon.  Just means I need two or three more of the Foolhardy Desperado.  Smiley

You get PLENTY of AWESOME new Banker tricks in Seed II. This set changes the game SOO much in many much needed ways.

I drafted Banker in the DragonCon Championship Top 4 and was NOT disappointed. I drafted Warlord on Friday night in the 10 p.m. Booze Draft and was not disappointed either, BTW. Crazy good stuff in Seed II...crazy good.
